For muslims, today is the 18th day of Ramadhan. We have been through more than a half month and it means that ramadhan will left us soon. But did you know that every country has a different fasting time?? let's check it out!
The fasting time in every country is differ, this is caused by the rotation of the earth. As we know that our earth does not rotate straight but slant. So, it makes in certain time (March-September) the countries that is located in the north, receive sunlight longer than the south and vice versa.
So for muslim in Indonesia, they are lucky because the average fasting time is 13 hours and 3 minutes. But how about the other countries? read this further information below:
1. Casey Station (Antarctica), USA
Fasting Time: 9 hours and 18 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 6.30 am and the breakfasting time is at 03.48 pm
2. Perth, West Australia
Fasting Time: 11 hours and 59 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 5.42 am and the breakfasting time is at 05.41 pm
3. Jakarta, Indonesia
Fasting Time: 13 hours and 3 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 4.42 am and the breakfasting time is at 05.55 pm
4. Mecca, Saudi Arabia
Fasting Time: 14 hours and 30 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 4.31 am and the breakfasting time is at 19.01 pm
5. Tokyo, Japan
Fasting Time: 15 hours and 36 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 3.11 am and the breakfasting time is at 18.47 pm
6. New York, USA
Fasting Time: 11 hours and 59 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 5.42 am and the breakfasting time is at 05.41 pm
7. London, England
Fasting Time: 18 hours and 5 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 2.45 am and the breakfasting time is at 20.50 pm
8. Provideniya, Russia
Fasting Time: 19 hours and 57 minutes
In this area, the end of dawn (sahur time) is at 1.46 am and the breakfasting time is at 21.43 pm
Those are the example of the countries that have different fasting time. So, for you, muslims in Indonesia, please do not camplain anymore because there are so many places that have the longer time than yours.
